The GaDangme Association of Washington DC Metropolitan Area recently marked a significant milestone, celebrating 40 years of dedication to preserving culture, promoting unity, and empowering generations of GaDangme descendants in the United States.

On September 27, 2025, members and guests gathered at the Holiday Inn in College Park, Maryland, for a dinner dance that was more than just a celebration – it was a testament to the association’s enduring legacy. The event honored the founders and past leaders who paved the way for the community’s growth and success.

The association’s Chairwoman, Rowina Naa Odarkai Lamptey Moses, emphasized the importance of unity and cultural identity, highlighting the GaDangme people’s strength in preserving their heritage despite geographical distances.
