Fatawu Issahaku Focused on Leicester Despite Everton Interest

Ghana international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has no immediate plans to leave Leicester City, despite strong interest from Premier League side Everton.

The 20-year-old winger endured a difficult 2024/25 campaign after suffering an ACL injury but has now returned to full fitness and is determined to make an impact this season.

Issahaku was a standout performer in the 2023/24 Championship season, netting six goals and providing 13 assists in 40 appearances to help fire Leicester to promotion. His performances earned him a permanent move after a successful loan spell, with Leicester activating his €10 million buy clause on July 1, 2024, in a deal that could rise by €7 million.

Sources say Everton’s recent approach has not swayed Issahaku’s commitment to Leicester, where he remains a valued squad member. The Foxes are keen to keep him but could consider a sale if a substantial offer arrives.

For now, Issahaku is seen as a key figure in Leicester’s 2025/26 Championship campaign as the club targets a swift return to the Premier League.
