Dormaahene Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyeman Badu II has articulated a compelling call for accountability and justice within the ranks of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In a crucial message delivered to the party’s National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the Dormaahene insisted, “It is imperative that we conduct thorough investigations and hold accountable any party officials involved in corrupt practices.”
This declaration underscores the need for integrity within Ghana’s political landscape, as the nation grapples with persistent issues of corruption.
During Chairman Asiedu Nketia’s visit to the Abanpredease Palace in Dormaa Ahenkro the first since the December 2024 elections, he sought the traditional leader’s blessings while expressing gratitude for the Dormaahene’s steadfast support.
Reflecting on his previous visit, he remarked, “I came seeking prayers for our party’s success, and now I stand before you, thankful for your unwavering encouragement.”
The Dormaahene’s statements resonate deeply in a context where transparency and accountability are urgently required. He emphasized, “We must foster a culture of justice where those within the NDC, or any political organization, who engage in corrupt activities are held responsible for their actions.” His advocacy for political neutrality in accountability highlights a desire for a fair and just governance system.
In addition to his focus on political integrity, the Dormaahene drew attention to pressing infrastructural needs within the Bono region. He stated, “The state of our roads, particularly the Jinijini-Sampa and Dormaa-Nkrankwanta routes, must be addressed urgently.”
He pointed out that these deteriorating conditions significantly hinder economic growth and access to vital services, asserting, “Infrastructure is the backbone of development, and without it, our region struggles to thrive.”

Responding to the Dormaahene’s appeals, NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia expressed his heartfelt appreciation.
“Your wisdom and guidance are vital as we strive to execute our duties with excellence,” he said, reiterating his commitment to fostering a prosperous Ghana. “Together, we can ensure that the values of transparency and responsibility guide our journey toward progress.”
